Wonder where I've been?

I've been busy with these 3....

Taryn is now 8, second grade...a competitive cheerleader & a gymnast!

Tanner will be 3 this summer, he loves to play outside & ride on anything that has a motor!

Dylan just turned 6 months old...she sits alone, claps, smiles up a storm and says music to my ears "Mama!"

Santa Session Previews | 2011

Santa always comes a little early to the studio....just in time to get in the Holiday Spirit! The kids LOVED the entire session, 20 minutes of alone time with Santa Clause, in and out of the studio. This really was an amazing experience for each child that came. Here are a few shots that I got through out the day...really, every single shot I took was awesome...but I picked a few of my favorites to share.

If you are interested in booking a session for your child with Santa, I start booking in Aug or Sept. each year, for our November appointments.

My Sweet Baby

On Tuesday, Oct. 4th 2011 @ 2:37 am I had my precious baby girl Dylan. She was absolutely perfect to me, just like her brother & sister were on the day they were born. My labor was about 8 hours and went very well. (as good as labor can go, right ladies??) She's a miracle, she's precious, she's beautiful, she's tiny, she's sweet & she fits right into our little family. I love her so much!

I hate to admit it, but I cried when I found out I was expecting another baby....I didn't think I could handle 3 little ones, but I wouldn't trade her for anything in the whole world, and wouldn't change a thing! God blessed me with another baby, because I can handle it!

I am currently on maternity leave, and staying home with my kids this month...I'm enjoying every single minute of it too! I have come to realize that I need to work a lot less, and stay home and enjoy myself a lot more....and so come January 2012, there will be a lot of changes going on business wise, for Lindsey Mills Photography.

Thank you all for being patient while I am on my maternity leave, from the bottom of my heart I am so thankful that you all are as great as you are to me!

Here are a few shots of my beautiful baby girl...

Brother & Sister were the first ones to see her other than my husband & I...here she is just a few minutes old...

Our first trip to the studio...I only used on blanket, but I was alone and trying to just get a few shots. Dylan held this pose for a long time like a good girl, and let me change her hat & headbands :)

The Sleepy Baby Workshop | Oh So Fabulous!

First of all, I want to express a HUGE thank you to The Sleepy Baby instructors Amanda & Kristen, who are not only amazing photographers but now great friends of mine and 2 of the greatest women I've ever had the pleasure to meet.

This past weekend I hosted The Sleepy Baby Workshop at my studio....and it was an amazing experience. I made some great friends & spent 2 days with 11 talented photographers! We had a blast, but most of all, we learned so many great things :) I can't wait to put it all to use with my upcoming clients & my baby.....who I expect in about 6 days!!!!

With that said.....I will be out on maternity leave (after this weekend's wedding) until Nov. 1st, however, you can still reach me via email at LindseyMillsPhotographyStudio@Gmail.com...I will be booking sessions, taking deposits and editing past sessions, but not shooting while I am out with my baby girl.

I hope the images that I post of her soon will be as lovely as these images that I shot at the workshop...If I can remember everything I learned that is!

I also want to take the time to thank the Mommies that brought in these tiny models :) we wouldn't have been able to have a workshop with out you letting us borrow your babies for a little while :) I hope you love all the images!

Holiday 2011 Specials

I know it's early....but we are booking sessions now for November 2011...

Here are the dates we will offer "specials"
*Thurs. Nov.3 & 10th...
...Nov. 3&10 are for kids only...they will be held at the studio and will include...
*25 minute session with a DVD of 6 images & 1 christmas card template for $150....

*Sun. Nov. 6th & *Thurs. Nov. 17th
all day Santa Sessions for kids only
...at the studio...and will include 20 minutes with Santa (pictures & talking) DVD of 6 images & 1 christmas card template for $200.

Also...I will be booking "family holiday sessions" that will take place at the Conway Riverwalk and are available for up to 4 subjects & will include...30 minutes of shooting time, 1 DVD of 10 images & 1 christmas card template for $200.

I am also trying to book "the night before christmas" with Santa...that will take place in the studio...the kids will wear their pajamas & we will have Santa read the book to the children....this will not include pictures (other than snapshots & candids) and will be free, but will be limited to spots that are available. I do not have a date for this yet, but will let you know asap!

Baby Faith is "My HEART!" I've loved her since her newborn session :) I met her fabulous parents at their maternity session they booked with me, and we've been friends ever since....

We had to do something special for Faith's 1 year old session, so as always...I asked her mother what her "birthday party theme" would be...and when she said "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" we decided that instead of eating just a cake, we'd have fun and eat the food that is that book, to go along with the theme....

Faith's Mommy was such a great sport, bringing in all of the items we needed & even had a special dress made for Faith...

Here are just a FEW of the images we captured, I posted them as a "sneak peek" this is not what her actual book that we are going to make, will look like....but this is cute too!

The Bennett Wedding Preview

Yesterday, Sept. 3rd, 2011...Karin said "I Do" to her husband Ted in front of their closest friends & family inside of Belin Methodist Church in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina.

Karin walked down the isle in a custom fit dress designed by Charlotte's Build a Bride, and I don't think there was a single person in that church that didn't have their breath taken away for a moment, when the doors opened and she stood there looking amazingly stunning in that gown!

The rest of the day was just as great & the reception was total fun for everyone!

Sara Barnhill from Stunning & Brilliant Events LLC did an amazing job as usual!

Karin & Ted I wish you the best of luck, I love you, and I've been blessed to develop such a great friendship with you both, since the first day you booked me as your photographer :)

The Baggott Wedding Sneak Peek

The Baggott wedding was beyond beautiful! I've never seen the inside of Belin Methodist Church in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina look as amazing as it did that day.

And although it rained pretty hard that morning, the clouds parted and the sun shined through as the guest arrived to witness Travis & Courtney say "I Do!"

It was a great day & fun night :)

This little girl stole my heart!! That head full of hair was just to die for :)

She has the most beautiful eyes too, although she did an awesome job of keeping them closed for her sleepy session...just the way I like. Can you believe that she was 5 weeks old at her session?? Yes, seriously!! I photograph newborns before they are 10 days old, so I was not expecting a "newborn" session when a 5 week old was booked, but it was one of the easiest sessions to date.

I haven't been scheduling family sessions lately...but, I've had so many people calling for them, I think I'm going to slowly get back into it.

It wasn't because I don't like doing family sessions, that made me stop...it's just that I have been shooting so much lately (remember I'm almost 8 months pregnant) that I had to take something out of the agenda, to give myself some what of a break.

But....I am happy to say, that I will be booking family sessions from now on.

The Patton's Family Vacation | July 2011

This is the Patton family...they are fun, sweet and a great group to be around!

I know I haven't been booking family sessions this year, because with all the weddings I have booked, come engagement sessions for those weddings, bridal portraits for those weddings & not to mention...all the editing times 3, times 20! I had to have space in my schedule for members of the baby plan & the kids club too! So....to make a long story short, I made an exception for this family, because I photographed them this same week last year, so when they emailed a few months ago to schedule again, I broke my "no family sessions" streak, and met them at the beach this evening.

Please take a moment to watch the highlights of the Terrell's Wedding Day...

My best friend Kelli married Scott on this beautiful day, and I was in the wedding. I have combined my images from before & after the ceremony with another photographer's (Scott Lee from Scott Lee Photography) who was nice enough to cover the ceremony for us so I could stand beside my friend.

The first "Kids Club Photoshoot" was such a success!! I want to start by thanking all the parents that came to the studio for this...I am so thankful to have wonderful clients like you!!

For this shoot...the theme was "Summer" and here's a little peek at each kid that made it to the shoot...

I know for various reasons there were some children on the plan that could not make it...please be sure to email me some available dates that you can bring your child by the studio :)

Meet Heather & Roy! Heather is Jeff's little sister...yep, my little sister in law :) The day we had planned for their engagement session it was about 70% chance of rain...so we were bummed!! But...at the last minute we decided to go for it...it was overcast and looked like it was going to pour on us, but it never did :)

These two will say "I Do" in October of this year. Congratulations!!!

April & Adam drove to Murrells Inlet from Charleston, SC for our engagement session. They are tying the knot next year and I am the lucky photographer that gets to document their big day!!

These two are so cute...giggles, shyness, beauty & love...a great recipe for a successful photoshoot.

This evening's wedding was a beautiful one... Kristen & Adam tied the knot today at The Cooper House in Socastee, South Carolina.

It was a very warm day, however just in time for the ceremony a few clouds did come over us, to cast a little shade. The reception carried on next door to the house, in the General Store. They had it decorated beautifully and the food was great!!

What a beautiful wedding this was! Ashley & Keith had the best time on their big day, and it really showed...making my job so pleasant and easy :)

The ceremony took place at Marion Presbyterian Church in Marion, SC & then we partied for the reception at Hidden Acres. (A photographer's dream...fields, ponds, bridges & more...yay!)

Stunning & Brilliant Events, LLC did the most fantastic job on planning this wedding. Sara has been there for everything, and I mean everything!! The decorations, the food, the music, everything was just simply great!

These girls are too cute, and this session was a lot of fun!

This is the preview of the day that Victoria Holland became Mrs. Victoria Lialson, as you can see it was a picture perfect wedding day.

Josh & Victoria were both so happy and seemed very relaxed on their wedding day. Josh said he was a little nervous about their "first dance," but secretly it was what I was the most excited about the entire day. They danced a Salsa routine and the crowd went wild!

Then the crowd carried on all night dancing and having a blast, as you can see in their photos.

The entire day took place at the beautiful Pawley's Plantation in South Carolina.

It was such a pleasure to photograph the beautiful wedding of Tracie & Patrick Frajter... the ceremony took place outside, on Saturday June the 4th on the boardwalk of the Conway Riverwalk over looking the Waccamaw River.

These two were so laid back, that it sure made my job easy!

Tracie is such a gorgeous girl, look how smokin' hot she looked in that dress! Pat and his groomsmen had me laughing all night, as they all danced to The Tim Clark Band, one of my favorite local groups.

It was a gorgeous day, at a beautiful place, Belin Methodist Church in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina.

Austin & Michael said "I Do" in front of about 300 guest. You think that's a lot of guest? Well, I wouldn't expect anything less out of a couple that had 12 bridesmaids & 12 groomsmen in their wedding :)

The night continued at their beautiful reception, held at the Winyah Indigo Society, in Georgetown.

Allen & Jersey are "a match made in Heaven!" They've been together for nearly 10 years!
Their love for each other is amazing :)
I was so happy to be a part of their big day...
which took place at their church in Carolina Forest, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina on May 15th, 2011.
The couple said "I Do" at the church and then along with their parents, my assistant and I,
they exchanged rings privately at the front doors of a lovely church on the Conway Waterway.

Their reception was breathtakingly beautiful! I've never seen anything like it....Annie Watts, their wedding planner
did a fantastic job decorating the venue for the couple!

Their food & cake were catered from The Trestle in Conway, SC. It was yummy!

On April 23rd 2011, Scott & Kelli tied the knot!

Scott and I have been great friends since we were in the sixth grade together. Scott always talked to my husband Jeff about me, and to me about Jeff...and well, you know how that story ends :) Scott was a great friend then, and is still a great friend now!

Since the day I met his wife Kelli, we have been best friends...she's always there for me, and me for her. We are practically like sisters. I love her to death.

I was actually a bridesmaid in the wedding, Jeff was a groomsman, and Taryn was the flower girl.

It was an honor to stand with my two best friends as they said "I Do."

I love you guys!!!

I have posted pictures of before & after the ceremony. Since I was in the bridal party.

Having 2 engagement sessions and a bridal session before the wedding, had us spending some time together and getting to know each other. When is it? September 16-17, 2011
Where is it? Myrtle Beach, South Carolina (in a gorgeous, spacious natural light studio)
Who should come? Photographers wanting to take their newborn photography to the next level. You should be comfortable shooting in manual on a DSLR camera and have some basic knowledge of Photoshop CS3 or higher. And we also recommend bringing a 50mm lens to the class.

What’s the investment? $1700.00
What’s included? Two fabulous days of learning in a very small group setting…. Catered lunch, snacks and drinks both days. Plus lots of goodies and prizes from our sponsors!

How do I register? Registrations will be taken on a first come, first served basis. You may e-mail thesleepybaby@yahoo.com to register. A non-refundable deposit of $850 is due at the time of registering. The remaining tuition is due on or before July 7, 2011. The Sleepy Baby will be a very special newborn photography learning experience and will be hosted by Amanda Cutler of Pumpkin Pie Photography and Kristen Mackey of Son Kissed Photography. We will be shooting in a beautiful and spacious natural light studio in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The experience at Myrtle Beach will be limited to 9 photographers in order to keep it intimate and very comprehensive for each student. We are excited about this new joint venture and think having two teachers with two business models, two styles will allow you a really unique and awesome learning opportunity. Teaching is a passion for both of us and we want this to be a memorable, growing and rewarding experience where we can build a strong relationship with you during your time with us.

This will be a 2-Day experience and will focus on natural light newborn photography. During the two days we will cover:

Working with natural light for newborns
Perfecting your newborn posing
Soothing and comforting newborns
Proper exposure for your newborn images
Finding the right shooting angles to showcase the pose and baby
Choosing the right set ups and props
Post processing of newborn images
Marketing, pricing and business discussion
and surely so much more!

And of course this will be a portfolio building time for you too; however and most importantly, our priority is to teach you how to have a successful newborn session at home or in your studio. We will take great time in explaining and detailing each pose so that you can go home and use this knowledge right away! We want to teach you, our peers, and have you walk away feeling inspired, full of new knowledge, confidence and ready for some babies!

Once the class is full we will forward a detailed agenda along with airport information and hotel recommendations.

5 kids...whew! But I'll tell ya, they are all adorable :)

Three little girls became big sisters to these 2 gorgeous boys 12 days before they made their appearance at my studio. I bet there is one proud Daddy in that household! Congratulations on your twins, and thanks for letting me photograph them. I really enjoyed this session.

What a unique wedding this was today...

Mandy & Trey said "I do" on a perfect Sunday afternoon. They worked so hard at making this wedding unique in so many ways....they had the best ideas, and the cutest ceremony & reception I've ever seen.

The day took place at the Cooper House, in Socastee, South Carolina.

Trey wore his Army Dress Uniform and looked very handsome, if I say so myself. Mandy looked stunning in a beautiful dress and the greatest shoes I've ever seen in my life!

I took a lot of pictures of the details at this wedding, since the couple put so much time into making them so special.

This wedding felt like it had a southern/vintage twist to it....and I tried to reflect that in their images. I hope you like them!

As most of you know, I've had a "Sweet Baby Plan" for over a year now, and it's been a HUGE success! I have absolutely loved watching the tiny babies that I photographed at just a few days old grow into the precious toddlers that they are today!

But, it's been too hard to not see them every 3 months like I used to :( I know they must miss me too *wink* so.....I asked myself..."Why just have a plan for babies? Why not offer a plan for big kids too?"

I am going to start out with allowing 10 kids to join the plan, just like I have 10 babies on the baby plan...So sign up fast, before all the spots are gone!

Details Below... to join the plan, email me at LindseyMillsPhotography@Gmail.com...and if you know of another big kid, or a mom expecting soon, let them know about my plans too! If they join and mention your name, I'll give you a FREE gift!

The LMP Kid Plan...

(for ages 1 year-10years)

10 kids will be allowed to sign up for the plan, first come, first serve...once the spots are filled, your child can still be photographed of course, you will just need to set up for an appointment as usual. I will start a waiting list, and if a child drops out of the plan, I will contact the next on the list to join.

Here's what the kid plan will offer...

A 1 hour Session to kick off your plan including a high resolution CD PLUS 8 wallets & a customized calendar to keep up with your sessions...for only $150 (a $475 value)

Every 3 months, starting in May, 2011...I will have a "Kid Club" exclusive mini session day, at different locations each time...these sessions will be themed, and I will announce the theme, one month before the date. These sessions will also include a high resolution CD PLUS 16 wallets each time, for only $100 (a $375 value)

*You do not have to attend these sessions, however they are for kid club members only, and will not be rescheduled.

For Every Birthday that your child is on the plan, they will receive a Birthday Session at a location of your choice...including a Birthday Party Invitation Template on a CD with 4 of your favorite images, and 16 wallets, for only $100 (a $225 value)

Kid Club Members will be responsible for scheduling their own appointments and keeping their appointments, if you miss more than 2 scheduled appointments, you will be removed from the plan.

To join the plan there is a $50 annual membership charge...to be paid when you sign up. You will receive a membership card, and be asked to choose a date for your very first session. Your membership will then be good for a year, and you will not have to renew your plan until 1 year after your joining date.

Baby Plan Members will automatically be switched from the baby plan to the kid plan after their final 12 month session!

The Dill/Lewis Wedding_April 2, 2011

What a beautiful day for a wedding!

On April 2, 2011 Christy Lewis & Robby Dill tied the knot at Debordieu Colony, in Georgetwon, South Carolina.

These two were High School sweethearts, and their wedding day was a fairytale dream!

Christy looked amazing as she walked down the isle on her father's arm, and seeing her groom for the first time that day was a bit of a surprise for her...

Robby had secretly worn his Marine Corp dress uniform, without telling Christy, because he knew she would be just as surprised to see him standing there in that, as he would be to see her in her gown walking towards him. The moment was spectacular! I'm so happy I could be there for it!

I can't wait to get started on the video that I am going to give to the newlyweds...I videoed parts of the day, and I can't wait to show off the gorgeous images I captured, not to mention the laughs they will share when they see the pictures of their friends and family dancing the night away at what was a fantastic reception! Mr. Joe Durivage from Myrtle Beach DJ's kept the party hopping!

The Payne/Cook Wedding_April 9, 2011

Christina Cook said "I Do" to her true love Brian Payne on April 9th, 2011 at 4:00pm. The two wed at Belin Methodist Church in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina which almost had every pew in the church filled.

The wedding could not have gone any better, the weather was great, the rain held off until the couple was in the car, leaving the reception.

I can't help but to laugh when I think about what happened during the ceremony, and I think everyone that was there will always remember the moment...The couple had exchanged rings and said their vows, the pastor prayed and when he said "Amen" Brian went in for the kiss! Christina hesitated and the church filled with laughter. It was such a great moment!

Not too much longer and Brian got to kiss his wife, and then we headed to a beautiful reception at Atalaya Castle.

The dancing was very entertaining and the Ntranze Band had the party going until the Forest Ranger made them pack up and leave.

Christina I'm so happy for you, I know you are more than excited to be a newlywed, and it has been my pleasure to get to know Brian over the past few months. I wish you two so much happiness, thank you for letting me be a part of your wonderful day!

2 Goldfish + Swim Suits + Flippers = Fun for 4 kids!

Just for fun we decided to do something out of the ordinary for our kids...but of course, I had to take pictures while we did it! They had a blast...you can't tell from the pictures, because I edited each of them...but, the floor was soaking wet, where they sitting, because little Tanner wouldn't keep his hands out the fish bowl! It's amazing how 2 little goldfish in a bowl will surprise 4 kids so much...you should have seen the smiles on their faces when they saw them!

I have a lot of ideas like these for "themed sessions" this Summer. I'm getting bored with just everyday sessions, so if you are interested in adding a little twist to your kid's session, please let me know!

In March, I got together with an upcoming wedding planner, Morgan, a boutique store, Bijuju...and a hair & make-up artist Jessica...from Dulce Lusso. (All located at The Market Common, where my studio is.)

We dolled up a beautiful Bride, Christy...and had a lot of fun with a fashion filled day of modeling in my studio.

This was probably one of my favorite photoshoots I've ever done! I'm so pleased with how the images turned out.

Christy was married on April 2, 2011 and I photographed her wedding. I will post a sneak peek of her wedding day, and her actual bridal portraits when she returns from her honeymoon.

Little Baby "K" wasn't sleepy at all for her session, she was wide awake and trying her best not to miss anything going on at her first photoshoot. Her parents and I had to work really hard to get her to sleep, and every time we would think she was "out"....those little eyes would pop back open. She's very alert for being so young. We got some awesome shots...I love the first one!
I'm so excited to have another baby join my "baby plan!"

What would I do?? It's been so cold here lately, that every session I've done has been inside the studio. I'm starting to wonder what I did last year at this time...it was my first year in business, and I was pregnant, so I probably didn't do a whole lot.

I've had about 2 sessions per day at the studio...here's a little sneak peek at what's been going on.

First is Little Miss "E" she came in to show off her Baby Model shirt, that she won, with a photo that I took of her!

Next, I had a visit with Miss "J" who is an absolute doll baby. She booked a Valentine Special with me :)

And then I met Little Mr. "A" sweetest baby ever! He smiled the whole time he was at the studio! His eyes are to die for...as I'm sure you can see!!

JuJu stopped by the studio for some headshots...she is a trip! So young, but very mature!

I had a picture party at the studio recently, it was such a success! The little cupcake with the cupcake bow is little "F" and below that is her beautiful Mommy & Daddy.

And last but not least, the beautiful Mommy to be...her maternity session was a blast! She's beautiful, and I can't wait for the baby, so I can take his pictures too!

OK, so it's no big secret what my favorite shoot from last year was...it's a collage on my studio wall, it's on my newsletter & my blog header...it's even on 8 pages in a magazine! It was the Matilda Jane Trunk Show / Photo Shoot!!!

When parent's ask "How should I dress my child for their session?" I want to say "Anything from Matilda Jane will do just fine!" Why? Because I'm in love with their clothes!

Taryn has the 2 dresses that she is modeling in the pictures below, she loves them and so do I. They are comfortable, soft & durable. She wears them to school, the long sleeve with her Cowboy Boots, and the sleeveless with a little sweater and tights that she also got from Matilda Jane.

Dec. 10th & 11th, I hosted a workshop here at my studio. Ricki Ford & I, put this together, and we had a fantastic turnout! It was better than I imagined it would be. Everyone was very happy with what they learned, and they improved so much from the first day, to the second...and that was just unbelievably awesome, to know that I helped someone.

Hollie has been married for one year now, and wanted to get back in her dress for some more bridal portraits...I think we chose the coldest day of Winter, but you can't tell at all in her images, how cold we were.

Hollie is absolutely gorgeous, and such a sweet lady, and very strong...she'd have to be, to strut all over town in her wedding dress in 30 degree weather.

It was fun!

The new Lindsey Mills Photography Studio is open :)

I am so excited about this, that I don't even know what to say...so I thought I'd just share a little about my photography business experience/journey that I have gone through in the past 2 years.

As many of you know, I was in college to become a teacher...wasn't sure if it was kindergarten classroom or an art classroom that I wanted to be in at the time, but I knew that I wanted to work with children. I had a job with the school district at one point, in a classroom, then I had another little job at a preschool, in a classroom...when I realized that it wasn't exactly what I wanted to be doing.

In the meantime, I became pregnant, bought a camera, didn't know a thing about the thing, other than how to turn it on and take a pretty good snapshot...I continued snapping away for about a year with it, and I got a lot of compliments on my homemade sheet backdrops I was using, and the creativity I was putting into my new found hobby. So, I decided to buy a film camera, and take a basic class, to learn a little more about this interest I was having in photography. I took the basic film class, here in Myrtle Beach, finished that, went back to work, and never really thought much more about photography. I took pictures of my child, and my friends' kids, but never imagined that soon, I would be turning what I loved into a career.

Once I became pregnant with my second child, I decided to invest in a digital camera...just so that I could quickly upload and share images with family and friends. I took it to work with me, and started practicing with all the kids there, and quickly I realized that I really enjoyed this...and I was pretty good at it. I would print the pictures and hang them around for the parents to see, and I was getting a lot of great feedback from them. Soon, parents and friends starting asking me if I could take pictures of their children and their families, birthday parties, etc... I agreed to do this, but only for fun. So, I did that a few times a year, until my son was born. Once I took pictures of him as a newborn, and those images got around, my phone starting ringing quit often about more pictures being taken of kids, by me :)

This thrilled me! I didn't ask to become a photographer, I didn't even imagine that I would be doing this...but here I am, 2 years later...the owner of a fabulous business that I adore, and that I put my heart and soul into everyday.

I continue to learn about photography everyday, it's such a passion of mine now, and I look forward to picking up my camera everyday and doing what I love as my job. I study with online workshops and forums, and I can't wait to travel to some upcoming workshops that I plan on going to in the future. One thing that I love the most, is that I will never stop learning something new...really, everyday I figure out something different that applies to my job. So I never get bored!

I want to thank each and every person that has believed in me, that has used my photography service in any way...with out you, I would not be where I am today. I want to thank my husband, Jeff, who bought me my first, second and now, third digital camera :) He doesn't always understand why I need to buy new equipment, or have a studio, but he's coming around. I want to thank my family, and Jeff's family, for babysitting :) so I can go to work. And I want to thank Morgan Dendy, for helping me get set up at the beautiful Market Common in Myrtle Beach. I couldn't be happier here! Of course...I want to thank God, for giving me the strength and the talent to keep learning, experiencing, and achieving my goals!

She Said Yes! And I Was There!!!

A few months ago, I put a post of Facebook that I really wanted to shoot a real life proposal...so, one of Travis's good friends contacted me, and said that Travis saw the post and was planning to pop the question to his girlfriend Courtney soon. So, we made a plan! And it turned out perfect!

Courtney's birthday was coming up, so Travis's mom bought her a "gift certificate" from me, to get her pictures taken...she told her she should have Travis in them too.

You will have to scroll down through the pictures, to see what happened...it was PRICELESS...a moment I will never forget! I'm so happy it all worked out, and that I caught every moment of the real life proposal.

Be careful when you look at these, you might cry :)

Dayna & Michael, Engagement Session II {Myrtle Beach's Couples' Photographer}

This is Dayna & Michael...they might look familiar to you, I shot their first engagement session this summer. It was smoking hot out that day, so we thought it would be a great idea to do one small summer shoot, and one small fall shoot. I think that both sessions turned out great, and that it is totally cool that they both look so different. The last session was on the beach, and for this one, we met in Lake View.

The sun was beating down and gleaming off of the lake, so I was trying to shoot in a new location, and try to find places in that location that worked with my style of shooting. I think what we came up with really worked for us, it's different, but so am I :)

We have a long way to go....but, the primer is on the ceiling and walls of the new studio! Next steps...paint on the walls, paint on the floors, add the shoe molding, move in & decorate!!

This is a dream come true for me and I am beyond excited!! I plan to keep posting new snapshots of each step that we take, while working on the space. So stay tuned!

This is little Lillie Grace, she's sweet as pie, cute as a button, and ALL of the other baby sayings there are, cover her as well :)

I take newborn photos, before the baby turns 10 days old...but I prefer them around 5-7 days old the best. Sleeping & Naked, that's how I like them!

Yesterday I met with Christina and Brian for their engagement session. It was such a beautiful day...a blue sky...not to hot...and then, the rain came!

But we ran through it and finished up at the Caledonia Fish Club, until we knew that we got some awesome shots...they ran home and did a quick change, and headed for Spuds on the Inlet. They will be having their rehearsal dinner there, and they came up with the idea of taking a few pictures at that spot. I think they turned out great. There are a lot more...but these are just a few of my favorites.

Sweet Little Faith {Myrtle Beach's Newborn Photographer}

The Sweetest baby, Faith...
I went to meet her on Oct. 5th (which is my anniversary, btw) she was 5 days old!
Cute as a little cupcake, and sweet as one too! I stayed at her house for at least 2 hours, trying to get her to sleep so that we could pose her just like we wanted, but she just wasn't having that. She stayed awake until the end...showing off those beautiful eyes in her pictures :)
I hoped to do the sleeping poses with her, and use some of my new baby props, but you never know how a 5 day old baby will be. And, it's totally up to them what you do. I think we got some pretty cute pictures that day. I hope I get to photograph little Faith again someday!
Oh, PS, I shot her Mommy's maternity pictures :)

Morgan's Bridal Session

The Beautiful Mrs. Dendy...

This is Morgan, she's a good friend of mine, and one of the most stunning brides I have ever seen! We traveled to Georgetown, SC for her portrait session, because we knew what we wanted, and we were going to get it. The location is absolutely gorgeous, I think, and Morgan in that dress, with those shoes...just made everything beyond elegant and stunning.

I had the hardest time waiting to show these images off...I had to of course, but I wanted to post them so bad! The one of Morgan in the swing, is getting hung in my new studio, when I get it.

Morgan married her husband John, on September 25th, those pictures will be posted soon.

Oh my, sweet little Carter!

This little boy is sooooo dear to my heart...he is on the sweet baby plan, so I have been photographing him since he was about 10 days old :) Take a look back at some of his photos, and see how much he has grown.

This was Carter's 3rd session with me, and he has 2 more to go...I will be so sad to see him turn one, because he will no longer be on the baby plan :( I need to make a longer plan, hmmmm? So I can keep in touch with all these cutie pies.

This September 5th Wedding was absolutely perfect! The best looking wedding party, ever! The day went smoothly, the bride and groom were both very excited, and everyone worked together to make this such a great day for them.

I have know the bride, since we were very young kids, taking gymnastics together...but didn't meet the groom until rehearsal night, the night before the wedding. They booked me as their photographer last minute, but I'm so glad they chose me...this was for sure, a wedding I am proud of...

The Masten/Birch Wedding, July 31st, 2010

This was such a beautiful day. The most perfect weather, a spectacular dress, the perfect shoes, a gorgeous bride & a groom that adores her.

The ceremony & reception took place at the beautiful Pine Lakes Country Club in Myrtle Beach, SC. When I arrived and saw Sarah I knew that I was going to get gorgeous shots that day...she is so pretty, and so sweet, and has the greatest sense of style. She started to get a little nervous when it was time to put her dress on. But her girls & her mom calmed her down...I could hear them in the bridal suite telling stories about her and Mike, and giggling, and I knew that this was going to be a fun night. And it was!

After the most perfect ceremony, we went out front of the country club and took some pictures of the bridal party...and then a few of just the couple.

Then the party really started inside. The DJs played the best music possible, and it lasted until midnight...once they stopped...the guest sang! Everyone had a great time. Take a little peek at a few of the images from the day...

Like Father, Like Son...

Jay is a friend of mine, that I've know since middle school. His son Ethan is here for the Summer staying with him. So Jay wanted to have a session with the two of them.

Ethan is such a cutie pie! His little personality is just as adorable! He wanted his picture taken with me, and even held my hand as we walked to the different spots that we shot at :) awww.
When they arrived he said "You are pretty, I like your car, I like your camera, I like your shirt..." on and on and on, I think maybe his dad might of put him up to it?

The beautiful wedding of the new Mr. & Mrs. Baiden...

The wedding was more than words can describe, I wasn't allowed to take pictures during the ceremony, so I watched and listened while my friend, and my daughter's kindergarten teacher Sarah Beth Timms married Jonathan Baiden. She was so excited for this day to come, and all of us know that the couple will couple will live happily ever after, which makes us all very happy!

How cute is this?

Kyla was at home when I came over to photograph her...at first she was a little shy, but she was dressed so darn cute I couldn't resist but to make her let me take her picture :) So, I told her mom to get her some pink M&Ms and add them to a mason jar, perfect prop! Matched her ensemble to a "T". So we had fun for the rest of the shoot!

Taryn Paint...In My Living Room = SCARY!!

But when a friend of mine asked me to do this for a Dance DVD he was making, I couldn't resist...and I'm glad I didn't. These photos are so cute :) Of course, I am a little bias, since Taryn is my daughter, but I think these images are fun, cool, and different. She had so much fun with it too, that I can't help but smile when I see them.

AMAZING SESSION!

Ok, I had a hard time choosing pictures to post...but hopefully you are a friend of mine of Facebook, so you can see more there! If not, you should be, because I post a lot of pictures there...

This is Whitney and Rob, they came to Myrtle Beach for their 2 year anniversary, and while they were here...we trashed Whitney's wedding gown! She was so great! Everything I asked her to do, she was game, and I loved that! Her pictures Rock, if I must say so myself :)
